SUMMARY
Project request from the Cave Run Storytelling Festival Committee. The Cave Run Storytelling Festival is an event held annually on the shores of Cave Run Lake in Kentucky, where renowned storytellers gather to share tales in a beautiful mountain lakeside setting, taking place at the Twin Knobs Recreation Area within the Daniel Boone National Forest, near Morehead, Kentucky. My class's goal were for everyone to create their own version of the cave run poster, a tri-fold brochure, a t-shirt design based on the poster, and my professor proposed that we make our own logo to rebrand their current logo.

Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

THE POSTER
My concept for this poster was "storytelling around the campfire". I felt as this theme would be fitting since the festival is held a campground. I included a tent, since all of the stories are told under large tents. I left space for a night sky and also for all of the pictures of the storytellers, since the client requested for them to all be pictured. Pictured here is my beginning sketch, my first attempt with this concept, and the finished poster. The poster is 11x17in.

THE BROCHURE
Since I have a concept based on the poster, my challenge was incorporating all of the information on just a letter-sized paper. The design needed to include ticket information, bios and pictures of each storyteller, sponsors, socials, information about the festival, and even a way to purchase tickets on the brochure itself. The white box on the back page is for mailing information, we were requested to leave it blank.

THE LOGO
Working off of what the current logo is, I wanted to keep the tent in the logo. But instead of just keeping the tent, I turned the tent into book pages, to play off of the storytelling aspect of the festival. I included a sun behind the tent, and also water since the location of the festival is at the "beach" portion of the campground. The entire logo is encapsulated in a patch design, playing off of the idea of gathering stickers and patches from camping.
